I have finally decided to start using Siri on my iphone. I have heard that you can educate it so that it becomes more attentive. How would I go about doing this?

- Stuart Carter

Just using Siri will educate it about certain aspects of your life, such as what music you like and what sort of schedule you keep. But there are other more specific ways in which you can educate Siri to know more about you, such as telling it where you live and who your family is. We’ll demonstrate how, here…

1 Open Phone app

Open the Phone app and then tap on the ‘Contacts’ icon. If you have previously created your profile, select it. If not, tap the ‘+’ icon in the top right-hand corner.

2 Fill in the form

Now start to fill in your personal details, or update them if you haven’t created your profile previously. Add phone numbers, email addresses etc…

3 Add relationships

Another important field is relationships. By default, it starts with ‘mother’, but you can tap on this word to choose a different label. Tap ‘Add Related Name’ to add more.

4 Include addresses

Make sure you add in key addresses, such as your work address and home address and any others. Flesh out the card as much as possible and then tap ‘Done’.

5 Use the profile

You now need to select the card for use by Siri. Launch the Settings app and select ‘Siri & Search’, tap ‘My Information’ and then tap on your profile.
