Take more control

-

By default the Retouch brush samples adjacent pixels to replace unwanted objects. However, this can lead to problems if you’re removing objects that are close to detailed areas, such as facial features. When removing a wrinkle near an eye you may find that some of the eyelashes appear in the retouched area. Luckily, you can tell the brush which areas to sample for more control. This lets you choose clear skin to place over unwanted wrinkles when retouching a portrait.

1 Small wonder

Import Portrait_start.jpg. Zoom into 100% for a closer look. Select the’ Retouch’ tool.

Set the brush’s size to 25 so that it will suit the size of the spots, blemishes and wrinkles.

2 Smoother skin

Hold down the option key and click to sample a clear patch of skin next to a line or wrinkle. Let go of the option key. Spray the sampled skin over the wrinkle.
