Request data files from Apple
Get Apple to share all of the information it holds about you on its servers
Remember that spell when your inbox became clogged with companies sending you opt-in emails? They were due to the introduction of the European General Data Protection Regulation, or GDPR, which aims not only to protect your personal data, but lets you request detailed information held about you. In order to better comply with the changes, Apple launched a ‘Data & Privacy’ portal. It allows Apple users to request a copy of their data, with everything available except your Apple Online Store transactions, marking communication history and app, book, television or music purchases. Here we’ll show you how you can obtain your data from Apple. We’ll also highlight what you’ll receive and how you can view it all.
