Viewing your personal data

Once Apple informs you that your files are ready, you can get on with taking a look at their contents

File formats

Most of the data is saved within .csv files, allowing them to be opened in a spreadsheet such as Apple’s own Numbers. Other file formats include .json (or Javascript Object Notation) and many folders are zipped.

Keep scrolling

It can take a while to read all of your data, especially because there’s so much of it. Move this scroll bar to the right to see the full extent of most of the spreadsheets you open.

Many files

Depending on what you selected when you requested your data, you’ll receive a host of files to look through. Each set of data has to be individually loaded and opened.

Clear data

All of the data is clearly presented. Here we see a history of our app downloads, which includes information such as the app reference numbers, the version that was downloaded and more…
