Using Touchcopy

Get to know the simple interface

Through this app, you can retrieve music, movies/tv and photos from your ipod and each section offers bespoke options. For example, movie content can be copied straight to your Apple TV app.

Copying to your Mac

In the Touchcopy preferences you can click on the ‘Copy to Mac’ section and then choose a destination folder for the copied files on your Mac. By default the app will create a new folder on your desktop.

Copying tracks

Copying large batches of tracks to your Mac from your ipod can take several minutes, and progress is conveyed via this bar at the top of the interface. Click the ‘X’ to the right to stop copying.

Copy playlists

All of the playlists that you created on your ipod will be displayed in this side column. If you opt to copy these then they will popular the Playlists section of your Mac’s Music app.
