Get a copy of your stored data

1 Visit the portal

Launch the Data & Privacy portal by going to https://privacy.apple.com in Safari. Sign in with your Apple ID and password and enter the verification code sent to your devices.

2 Manage your data

You will see a screen telling you that Apple is noting your IP address, time, security level and sign-in history. Click ‘Continue’ for the Manage Your Data page.

3 Obtain a copy

If you want to see what info Apple holds on you, start by clicking ‘Request A Copy Of Your Data’. You can now select the data you’d like to download. We suggest ‘Select All’.

4 Scroll down

Scroll down and view the final three options. Apple says these files may be large and take a long time to download. To proceed, select them. Now click ‘Continue’.

5 Select file sizes

Your data will be huge so Apple can split it across a number of files. Let Apple know how large you want these files to be. Too large and they’ll take ages to download.

6 Sit and wait

Click ‘Complete Request’ and Apple will process your application. You’ll be sent an email when it’s done, at which point move to our instructions below.
