Large attached files will appear as a link within your outgoing email that the recipient can click on to retrieve the large files, thus bypassing Gmail’s file size limitations.

Sidebar management

Once installed, the Dropbox add-on will appear as an icon in the Gmail sidebar. When you open an email chain, click on the icon to see a list of any attachments included within the thread.

Add attachments

When composing an email, if you click on the Dropbox logo in the toolbar then you will be able to choose files to attach straight from your Dropbox. Even files that would normally be too big.

Upload files to cloud

If you click on one or more of the attachments from the list then your linked Dropbox will open and you will be able to select a destination folder to upload the attachments to. You can then access them easily from anywhere.
