Alter the mouse and trackpad settings

Ensure your attached accessory is working in the way you want it to

You cannot use scrolling or other touch gestures within ipados if you have paired a first-generation Magic Mouse or Magic Trackpad. Change the tracking speed

Determine how fast the cursor moves around the screen by moving the slider to the left for slow and to the right for extra speed.

Mouse or trackpad?

The settings will detect which accessory you have paired with your ipad. You’ll then see the relevant options listed here.

Choose to naturally scroll

With natural scrolling the screen moves in the opposite direction to the way you move your finger on the trackpad or mouse surface – so moving up sends the screens down. If you don’t like this, turn it off.

Left or right?

If you’re using a mouse, then you can decide if you want the secondary click option to be mapped to the left or right button. This becomes ‘two finger secondary click’ with trackpads.
