Set up your cardio notificati­ons

1 Update your devices

Ensure both your iphone and Watch are updated to the latest versions of IOS and watchos. Then launch the Health app on your iphone before tapping the ‘Summary’ tab.

2 Click Set Up

Scroll down the screen until you see a section called Cardio Fitness Levels. If you can’t see it, tap the ‘Browse’ tab instead and navigate to ‘Heart’. Now tap ‘Set Up’.

3 Confirm your details

You’ll be shown a series of prompts, starting with an explanatio­n of cardio fitness. Tap ‘Next’ and ensure your sex, date of birth, weight and height are entered correctly.

4 Enter your meds

You are also prompted to indicate if you’re taking any medication­s that will affect your cardio fitness. Tap the relevant buttons next to the two sets of drugs and tap ‘Next’.

5 Get the knowledge

Apple explains the factors that can affect your cardio fitness such as age, pregnancy and lung conditions and it will show how it is measured. Keep tapping ‘Next’.

6 Turn on notificati­ons

Finally, you will be asked if you want to be notified whenever your Apple Watch detects a low level of cardio fitness. Assuming you do, then simply tap ‘Turn on Notificati­ons’.
