our ios devices have had them for ages so why not the mac? If you are stepping away from your mac and just want to protect what is on it without having to put it to sleep then you can now click on the apple menu and choose a new option called ‘Lock Screen’. Select this and your mac will instantly switch to the standard lock screen that requires a password to get into.
