Some filmmakers deliberately allow light-related artefacts such as lens flares to appear in their footage as this adds extra colours, shapes and textures to the scene. Final Cut Pro X is full of lens-related effects that can enhance a wide range of clips, from scenic landscapes to sci-fi scenarios. Drifting blobs of floating bokeh help add movement to a static summer scene. Thin streaks of lens flare help add a sci-fi vibe.
