Somehow managing to incorporate active noise cancelling (ANC) smart technology for a very reasonable price, Mixcder’s E8 headphones offer a superb-sounding set of cans that shut out the external noise and cocoon you in a warm audio bubble – perfect if you only have a limited budget.

The ANC technology that the E8s utilise is actually a hybrid that works in a wider range in the low to midrange frequencies than most ANC designs, and provides an improved degree of noise cancellation. It also provides improved isolation for better noise cancellation outside of the active range – when a noise is detected, a digital signal processor analyses the sound waves and creates inverse waves to cancel out the ambient sound. It sounds complicated but all you really need to know is that if you flick the small ANC switch on the left case then the outside world will be gone.
The E8s are equipped with 40mm drivers that deliver a powerful, wideband frequency response from 20Hz to 20,000Hz with impactful bass, a detailed midrange and clear, extended treble. They sound slightly cushioned but very clear. With a battery life of around 18 hours, they’re perfect for daily commutes and the stylish, sleek all-black design is sure to turn heads. Comfortable to wear with a great sound, these are a bargain.
