Marker

By tapping ‘M’ we can add a marker at the point where the iphone clip starts recording. This helps us sync the iphonesourced audio track with the inferior sound from the main video clip.

Sound track

By dragging the iphone clip below the main video clip we’re only using its audio information in this green bar. Drag the volume control bar upwards until the loudest sections peak as yellow spikes.

We’ve captured the subject’s voice by recording a video clip using the iphone’s Camera app. Most of the video clip shows the interior of the subject’s pocket. That’s not a problem as we’re only interested in the clip’s audio.

Radio mic

After popping a headphone mic into your subject’s shirt they can record audio onto the iphone in their pocket and wander freely away from the main camera. The iphone will pick up clear sound wherever they go.
