Set up an emergency SOS

Your iphone can double up as a distress beacon if you find yourself in times of trouble. Go to settings>emergency sos and then turn on the ‘auto Call’ option. Now, when you press your sleep/wake button five times in quick succession a three second countdown will precede your device automatically calling the emergency services. You can cancel it during the countdown by pressing ‘X’.
