How to retain easy access to Now Playing

Disable music autolaunching on iphone
As well as disabling auto-launch on your Watch, you can do the same on your iphone. Open the Watch app on your handset and select ‘My Watch’. Select General and tap ‘Wake Screen’. As with the settings on your Watch, you’ll see Auto-launch Audio Apps. Ensure the button is toggled to off.
Find a flexible Watch face
Press down on your Watch face and swipe left and right until you discover one that allows text-based complications (such as Modular). Press ‘Customise’ to reach a screen such as this.
Highlight area
Locate the area of the screen that you can use for text complications and turn the Digital Crown until you arrive at Now Playing. Press the Digital Crown twice to set it.
Select Now Playing
You will be able to access the controls for the currently playing audio by tapping its name on your Watch face. This prevents you having to access the applauncher first.
