If you click on the song in the list then you will open a link on the Shazam website along with videos, lyrics and more songs by that particular artist. It is a handy way to learn more.

Turn on

The Mac Shazam app takes the form of a menu bar item. Click on this and then make sure that Shazam is turned on, then start playing music or watching videos.

When Shazam hears any music on your Mac or nearby it will identify the song and present it in a list in the menu bar item along with a link to listen to the song in Apple Music.
