Great Easter fun hops into National Trust Fermanagh

-

GET ready for an egg-citing Easter celebration at National Trust Fermanagh.

From Good Friday (March 29) through to Easter Tuesday (April 2), unique family-friendly trails will delight visitors at Castle Coole, Florence Court and Crom.

Children can hop along 10 trail stations at each property. Games such as mini beast hunts, and ‘scrambled eggs’ promise great adventures.

The trail ends with a chocolate egg, or a vegan ‘Free-from’ chocolate egg, made in the UK using cocoa from Rainforest

Alliance Certified farms.

Wendy Webb, Visitor Operations and Experience Manager at

National Trust Fermanagh, said: “We have a great Easter planned for our visitors, with lots of activities at each property.

“We are particularly excited about the response to our community callout, where groups will provide creations to decorate a tree at each site. We can’t wait to see what they come up with!

“We have also been working hard to make our sites more accessible to all visitors, because we want everyone to enjoy the beautiful places we care for.

“We have calm bags available, for those who need a little extra support, at all three visitor centres, as well as mobility scooters, while the mansions at Florence Court and Castle Coole now have permanent ramps.

“Easter 2024 will be our most accessible event so far, and we hope all our visitors enjoy what we have in store.”

In addition to the trails, each property has an extra-special event day:

Easter Sunday:

The Fermanagh Concert Band performs at Castle Coole’s Grand Yard from 1-3pm.

Florence Court hosts a Food Quarter with Tully Mill Restaurant and Lillyanne’s Bakery. There will also be live music, kids’ activities, and a visit from Peter and Lily Rabbit.

Easter Monday: Easter Tuesday:

Crom showcases ‘Have a Go’ bushcraft sessions, led by Oakwood Bushcraft.

Florence Court and Castle Coole mansions will be open over the Easter break, with house tours running daily. Easter is also the perfect time to check out the brandnew playground at Crom.

National Trust Easter egg trails cost £3 per child, plus normal National Trust admission/free admission for National Trust members.
