A fun-filled Easter programme ahead for families right across the region

FERMANAGH and Omagh District Council are hosting Easter activities ranging from fairy trails to picnics and scavenger hunts.

Councillor Thomas O’reilly (Sinn Féin), Chair of Fermanagh and Omagh District Council, said there is something for everyone at the events.

He said: “The Council is committed to delivering the best quality experience for those who live in and visit our district.

“I am pleased the Council is offering many opportunit­ies for our residents and visitors to enjoy Easter in Fermanagh and Omagh this year.

“Whether you are into walking, nature, sports, arts and crafts or live entertainm­ent, there is something for everyone.”

Running from March 23 until April 6, there’s an ‘Eggsciting Easter Egg Trail’ at Enniskille­n Castle.

Participan­ts will be able to explore the museum galleries looking for eggs and claim a prize at the end.

Admission rates are £5.50 for adults, £4 for seniors, students and children, with under fiveyear-olds being free.

The Easter Land of Fairies is set to enchant over at the Marble Arch Caves.

Between March 23 and April 5, families can partake in a magical hour-long fairy-themed adventure, suitable for children aged two to 11 years-old.

Tickets are priced at £4 each. People can choose to attend at 10:30am or 2pm.

The Ardhowen Theatre in Enniskille­n is conducting Fused Glass Workshops for children on March 23.

Children will produce their own fused glass sun catcher, and experience colour therapy and fused glass art.

Workshops cost £25 per child, and adults can join for an additional £15. All sun catchers will be ready for collection within two weeks. To book, see https:// tinyurl.com/4shde6rb.

Omagh Leisure Complex is arranging an activity-packed

Kid’s Easter Camp on March 28 and 29, and from April 3 to 5.

Suitable for children aged five to 11 years, the camp includes activities that vary from sports to arts and crafts.

Each session runs from 9.30am until 3.30pm and costs £12 per child, per day.

The Cuilcagh Lakelands Geopark has organised a Easter Scavenger Hunt on April 2 at Castle Caldwell.

This free event does not require booking and even includes a small prize after completing the self-led trail.

Forthill Park is hosting the annual Picnic in the Park on

April 2. Everyone can relish an afternoon filled with activities including rope making, traditiona­l games and live music, from 2pm to 4pm.

Cole’s Monument will be open for everyone to admire stunning views of the town.

There will be a singer performing in the bandstand, balloon modelling, Jo-jingles, rope making, traditiona­l games, biodiversi­ty activities, and more.
