WELL done to Genevieve Irvine, above on her nomination – she’s surely one of the many often unsung local heroes who are going above and beyond to help people all across the region.

Genevieve, and people like her, are the often invisible glue holding society together in vital ways, stepping in to fill gaps in support, and tirelessly and quietly getting on with helping people.

We’re delighted to help highlight Genevieve as just one such laudable figure – but we’re also happy to keep the push going for more Community Champions, and are inviting you to help give them the recognitio­n, and some extra visibility and support for their cause, that they so richly deserve.

This category celebrates a business person or a business who are at the heart of their community. We are looking for examples of giving back, supporting local causes and using their business for good.

For a local club/individual who is making an impact in the local sport, either on the pitch or off it. Who is the beating heart of local sport?

Everyone remembers their favourite teacher. This award recognises teachers who are bringing learning to life by engaging and inspiring all children and young people to fulfil their potential.

Rewarding a local individual, 18 years and upwards who goes out of their way to help those around them. Someone whose actions are a force for good in the community who we all benefit from making our community a better place.

This award goes to someone who has made a contributi­on of outstandin­g significan­ce to County Fermanagh and Enniskille­n. We will be recognisin­g someone whose actions, achievemen­ts, courage or bravery have touched the lives of others and made a difference. Someone special who truly has a heart of gold.

We are looking for a young person between the age of 13-18 who volunteers and makes a significan­t contributi­on to their local community. Tell us about the kids whose heart is in the right place.

To recognise an outstandin­g child up to the age of 13 whose achievemen­ts, courage or bravery make your heart burst with pride.

This award is for an individual or group, who have dedicated their lives to supporting an amazing cause. A chance to recognise the incredible work they undertake tirelessly.

This award aims to recognise an individual who strives to improve their local areas for the benefit of everyone who lives and works there. They will demonstrat­e the contributi­on they have made to their local community whilst championin­g sustainabi­lity. It could be through regular cleanups, eco-friendly initiative­s, or gardening the sky is the limit!

This award will go to a local singer, band or group who put their heart and soul into every performanc­e, whose talent makes us all extremely proud. Our finalists will have the opportunit­y to perform live at the awards gala.
