Marginal chance of carp

Don’t you need a special rod or pole, with fancy floats and rigs set up for margin fishing for carp? I think not! The margins at the end of the match are usually the get-out-of-jail-free cards for match anglers, with carp appearing to come to you without much real effort in the margins either side of the peg. However, I have been doing this with great success, and much to my delight, without a pole in sight! So why spend thousands on margin equipment to use for this situation when, with a simple quick change bead and a preprepared margin rig (simple float and hair rig hook) with a fat dendrobaena on the end, I can easily swing the rig in near the sides and reap the rewards of simple margin fishing?
