Many of us have friends or family that have never fished but might fancy trying it, and if you do take someone who is new to the sport, then you can’t beat pole fishing. It is by far the easiest way of fishing, and because you are dropping in the rig off the tip, you aren’t going to waste time recovering a hookbait from the nearest tree! This gives beginners a ‘feel’ for fishing without any frustration – certainly many of the celebrity guests we’ve had on the show have loved it! It’s a very efficient way of presenting a bait and catching smaller fish, so they won’t have time to get bored.
