Work the swim

Lazy anglers will definitely catch fewer fish, so always make sure that you make the most of what is in front of you. If you are fishing a higher stock water, such as a commercial fishery, then you should always be working to get that next bite. Don’t just sit there and think that eventually you’ll get some action – certainly when we are filming we don’t have that luxury of unlimited time. If you watch a match angler, they will be feeding spots that they aren’t fishing at the time, so that they have somewhere to try next if the swim they’re fishing slows down.
