Tight to the tip

The positioning of a small pole pot is vital if you want to make the most of your session. Your hookbait needs to be right in the middle of your loosefeed and even if it is just six inches away, you will almost certainly be missing out on bites. I have my CAD pot three inches away from the tip. This makes sure I have the accuracy I need but that small gap between the end of the tip and cup reduces the chance of the line wrapping over it and causing a tangle.
