Disgorgers can be a little fiddly the first few times you use them but follow these sequences and it’ll soon become second nature.
This movement should remove the hook. Carefully raise up and out of the mouth
A Slamo is ideal for most situations. Put the line through the gap in the disgorger head
Keeping the line tight, push the disgorger gently against the bend to remove the hook
Keeping the line tight, gently push the disgorger down until you feel the hook
For fish hooked in the lip, use the headed side. Trap the line in the groove like this
