Types of feed

There are two major types of groundbait on the market but I probably rely on one of those for 80 to 90 per cent of my fishing. Fishmeal groundbaits are very popular and I use them wherever pellets are used heavily. That means every commercial and even natural waters or rivers (when they reopen). I use a natural mix, without fishmeal, in Ireland and also on canals or when fishing for roach – a species that doesn’t like fishmeal-based baits.
