Method feeder

One of the most common questions I get from anglers is whether they should use pellets or groundbait on the Method. The answer is that it depends on a number of elements. If anglers are catching well on pellets on other tactics such as the pole, then I know what the fish are eating. But if other anglers are using paste – which is made directly from groundbait – it will convince me that groundbait is what the fish want. I also find groundbait to be a lot more versatile when it comes to hookbaits. If you use pellets on the Method I find that only a hard pellet or small boilie works well as a hookbait. If I want to use corn, meat or maggots as a hookbait I will use groundbait on the frame because they complement each other. My favourite groundbait mix for this type of fishing is Sonubaits Supercrush Expander, which is brown. It is fairly sticky and therefore clings well to the frame before breaking down once the feeder gets to the bottom.
