Groundbait for feeding the margins

Groundbait works extremely well in the margins because it encourages fish to graze around for long periods and holds their attention without overfeeding them. If I am fishing in water that is up to 2ft deep I will feed it loose. This will get to the bottom over where I have cupped it and create a bed for the carp to feed over. In margin swims that are over 2ft deep I will feed it in a ball. I will only lightly squeeze it so that it gets through the top layer of water and then breaks up about half way down and doesn’t drift out of the swim. Always include plenty of hookbait samples in your groundbait mix so that your offering doesn’t stand out a mile and look suspicious to fish that have been caught time and time again.
