Improve Your Coarse Fishing (UK)

So much to treasure

- MICK COOK, VIA EMAIL

I have had the pleasure of fishing since the age of five and, as I approach 50, I realise how much it has meant to me over the years. When returning from war zones it preserved my sanity and allowed time for reflection. When fishing with friends, it has produced more laughter and pleasure than I thought possible until recently. Teaching my son to fish and listening to his laughter as he hooked his first carp, managed to reduce me to tears and laughter all at the same time. Teaching him knots was not quite so easy until I made a super size hook out of an old coat hanger. With the addition of an extra long bootlace as line, we now practice and share the learning. Fishing continues to keep giving and I couldn't ask for more.
