WELCOME to the latest issue of IYCF. Last weekend saw thousands of anglers descend upon Farnborough for The Big One Show (above). The event took place in a brand new building and the majority of the sport’s biggest brands and top anglers were there. It proved an excellent opportunity for visitors to have a look at all the latest gear and pick the brains of the some of the best in the business as well as grabbing a bargain or two. With two theatres there were a number of informative talks taking place over both days from the likes of Danny Fairbrass, Steve Ringer, Des Shipp and Bob Roberts. Team IYCF were there handing out free magazines and it was great to chat with lots of readers. Our features editor, Tony Grigorjevs, whizzed round on the Saturday to do some filming with several of the star anglers and to have a look at some of new releases that were unveiled over the weekend. Make sure you have a look on the Improve Your Coarse Fishing and Angling Times Facebook pages. If you didn’t make it to the show this year, it is definitely one to put in your diary for next year. By the time this issue is in the shops the brilliant Big Fish Off series will be back on our screens. Show hosts Ali Hamidi and Dean Macey have very kindly detailed their most productive rigs from the show for this month’s magazine, the details of which you can find on page 24.
