Milo’s Highlight:

Earlier in the year we were supposed to be filming with Shakespeare, but it got cancelled because of the storms. We rearranged to go in April and Shakespeare sent Tom & Sean ( SnaggedBro) to film us at Fisherwick Lakes for the OnTheHook Fishing Youtube channel. We were originally going to film on the Trump, but none of us were feeling it so we went on my favourite peg on the Bridge Pool. We were supposed to be filming my dad and I together, while Cosmo was being filmed separately. He was catching more than me, however, so I decided to fish with him and we turned it into a film about both of us together. We fished on pole, float rod and Method feeder and caught on all of them.

I started with a pole and caught a few little roach and rudd, but I switched to a float rod because I wanted to catch a big perch. I cast out and caught a couple of little ones and then the unexpected happened. I hooked a big perch and carefully got it into the net. We were all shocked at how big it was. It was massive! We weighed it and it was 2lb 2oz – a new PB and it was the family best from Bridge Pool. We’d now caught a 2lb perch from two different pools at Fisherwick. I was extremely excited after that, and it was all caught on film.

We were all catching little fish, but on the Method rod we managed to catch a little carp each, which meant we had all the moments we needed for the film. I was a bit mischievous and pulled a prank on my dad too, you’ll have to watch the video to see what happened.
