In celebration of the tenth anniversary of the legalisation of same-sex marriage in England and Wales, Tom Allen (left) plans the wedding of lucky couple Adam and Dan. He enlists the help of dancer Oti Mabuse, stylist Nick Hems, baker John Whaite and singer Sophie Ellis-Bextor to arrange everything. Along the way, Allen reveals the story of the fight for equal marriage, meeting the people who helped make the day possible, including Peter Tatchell and Lynn Sutcliffe, along with the political figures who were instrumental in the passing of the bill, Dame Angela Eagle, Lynne Featherstone and David Cameron.

Spinal surgeon Michael Quaye and urology surgeon James Douglas join up for a two-day operation they’ve never attempted before. Patient George has a tumour deep inside his body which has attached itself to his aorta. In the process, they need to remove one of George’s vertebrae, but any damage could paralyse him.
