What brings them together again?
Here’s a blast from the past for you, as Weatherfield’s Sally comes face to face with her estranged younger sister, Gina Seddon!
Now, for Street fans questioning who the heck Gina is, she’s a Corrie character – previously played by actress Julie Foy – who left the cobbles in 1989 to marry a longdistance lorry driver. That means she’s been away for a whopping 28 years!
Sally has made off-screen visits to her sibling during that time, but really we know very little about what Gina’s been up to. So what brings her and Sally together again?
“Rumour has it that Sal’s daughters, Rosie and Sophie, will chance upon their Auntie Gina while on a windowcleaning round,” whispers our Coronation Street source. “She and Sally look very pleased to see each other, but do these happy scenes tell us the whole story?”
Sally Dynevor, who plays Sally, certainly seemed to be having a blast filming with Gina actress Connie Hyde, who is best known for playing crazed police officer ‘Mad’ Cathy Bradford in The Bill from 2002 to 2004.
Meanwhile, star Helen Flanagan was busy shooting the scene where Rosie meets her cousin Leah, who is one of Gina’s children. Will it be a happy reunion for them all – or are the two branches of Sally’s family tree set to clash?
