Maxine’s future has been thrown into disarray now that Adam’s ex Darcy is back on the scene – and this week the mother is dealt another blow when she’s told her daughter Minnie needs an operation!
Adam recently came to poor Minnie’s rescue when he realised she was having difficulty breathing, rushing the little’un to hospital. However, Minnie requires surgery in order to fix the problem, and although worried Maxine knows how much Adam cares for her daughter, she has no idea where his heart lies – and decides not to share her worry over Minnie…
“A couple of weeks ago, Maxine thought she had the perfect little family,” sighs our Hollyoaks snoop. “How quickly things change! Minnie is without a doubt the most important person in Maxine’s life, and she’d be heartbroken if anything ever happened to her. She could really do with Adam’s support right now, but she doesn’t know whether she can rely on him while Darcy is sniffing around.”
Adam is in a total muddle now that he’s torn between two women, and although he’s determined to do all he can to stay away from Darcy, that ghost refuses to be laid to rest as Darcy insists on helping out at the salon. Given that Maxine has already seen her man share a kiss with his long-lost ex, she’s certain Adam has made his choice when he spots the pair together yet again. Has Darcy managed to win him over?
“On the one hand, Adam is thrilled that Darcy’s still alive, but on the other, so much has changed since she vanished from that boat all those years ago,” explains our spy. “It’s taken him such a long time to deal with the supposed death of his first love, and he’s finally got to the point where he can think about the future and a life with Maxine and Minnie.
“Maxine has made lots of silly mistakes, but she’d do anything for Adam and can’t wait to start a family with him – whereas we already know that Darcy isn’t the perfect girl Adam believed she was. That one definitely isn’t to be trusted, so let’s hope Adam makes the right decision…”
Thankfully, Maxine receives good news when the doctors inform her that Minnie’s operation has been a success. Keen to celebrate, she decides to throw a welcome home party, and invites all her friends. However, when Adam fails to show, upset Maxine takes it as further confirmation that she’s been dumped. Will Adam realise that Maxine is the one for him, or does Darcy have a trick up her sleeve?
