Lauren gets closer to Josh
SHE’S SCHEMING TO GET CLOSER TO JOSH…
Lauren doesn’t think twice about abandoning her boyfriend Steven to babysitting duties this week – after Josh calls and invites her out for dinner!
Handsome Josh gets in touch claiming that he wants to discuss a photography job, and Lauren doesn’t hold back. With the chemistry between the pair undeniable, is the smitten lass set to break Steven’s heart?
“Ever since she laid eyes on Josh across that photocopier at her dad Max’s fancy office, Lauren’s been besotted,” sighs our Walford sneak. “Never mind the fact she has Steven and her little boy Louis waiting at home – Lauren just can’t get Josh out of her head.
“When he gets in touch with her again, she couldn’t be more excited, and there’s no way she’s about to turn him down,” continues our mole. “So is it already too late for poor, deserted Steven?”
While Lauren puts her relationship on the line, her best mate Whitney has been trying to make her see sense. But with Lauren convinced that her romance with Steven has become predictable and stale, she can’t resist the excitement bespectacled Josh apparently offers – particularly since she’s also turned on by the thrill of his glamorous career in the City.
“Lauren has already mentioned to Josh that she’s stuck in a rut with her job,” shares our informant.
“He knows that she’s a keen photographer, and that it’s something she’d love to make a living from – so he takes a chance on her when something in that area crops up. Trouble is, the job is at his company – the same place Lauren’s dad works. But it doesn’t look as if that’s going to put her off.”
Indeed, the idea of sharing an office with Josh only adds further appeal for Lauren! But when she shares her plans of applying for the role with Max, he’s not quite so keen…
“Lauren is desperate to escape her mundane job in Shoreditch and join the rat race in Canary Wharf,” observes our snitch. “Anyone else would probably be horrified by the idea of sharing a commute with their father – but the pay-off of being around Josh Monday to Friday is worth it as far as Lauren’s concerned!
“Max does his best to put her off, and no wonder,” adds our insider. “We already know he’s up to something dodgy in this new career, so the last thing he wants is his daughter sniffing round.”
Unfortunately for Max and Steven, determined Lauren is on a mission – she’s going for it no matter what! But is she ready to rip her family apart in the process?
