Michelle pleads for forgiveness
BROKEN MICHELLE TRIES TO MAKE THINGS RIGHT WITH HER FAMILY…
With her life in tatters, Michelle needs her nearest and dearest more than ever this week – but can she manage to persuade her family to forgive her?
Michelle’s relationship with teenager Preston has seen her lose almost everything – and after the truth was dramatically revealed in the Vic recently, she came very close to losing her life, too! With nowhere else to turn, the Fowler woman is desperate to make amends – but will anyone be willing to listen to what she has to say?
“It’s time for Michelle to start rebuilding her life,” insists our Walford sneak. “But where does she begin? Her husband and son have wiped her out of their lives. The entire Square knows she’s been sleeping with someone young enough to be her grandson – and to make matters worse, he was also sleeping with her niece! Then came the car Michelle crashed that almost killed two other people. It’s no wonder her brother Martin wants nothing to do with her!”
While she tries facing up to her family, Michelle is also battling to land herself a teaching job, desperate to earn some money so she can at least start putting down roots again. She’s still struggling to stay away from the booze, though – and when Sharon finds her in the Vic having had one too many, her worry for her best mate grows. But after they end up arguing, Michelle feels more alone than ever – and Martin isn’t about to offer a shoulder to cry on.
“Sadly, Martin’s face says it all as Michelle tries talking to him again,” sighs our spy. “It’s the anniversary of their brother Mark’s death at the time, so she’s hoping she can finally manage to reach out. But it doesn’t seem to matter how many times she says sorry, Martin just can’t move on.”
However, after Martin’s wife Stacey spots sombre Michelle with the weight of the world on her shoulders, she’s given pause. Taking pity on her sisterin-law, Stacey chats to Michelle while the pair plant flowers together. And in a bid to help Michelle and Martin make peace, she invites Michelle round for dinner the next day.
“Stacey is a brave woman to even consider this idea, as Martin is very angry at the moment,” confirms our snoop. “He can’t even bear to look at Michelle – but if anyone has a chance of getting through to him, it’s his Stacey. So all that Michelle can do now is hope for the best.”
