“Ross isn’t scared of Moira – she’s tough, but no match for him!

- Allison Jones

With the Barton cab business looking set to go under this week, Ross plots another dodgy scheme to boost the ailing company’s cash flow.

Having already blackmailed money out of Robert by threatening to reveal the truth about Rebecca’s pregnancy, Ross keeps it in the family when he ropes in the rest of his clan to rob his Auntie Moira of her valuable cow herd! But will he regret making such a silly mooooove? Michael Parr, who plays Ross, tells all…

So what’s Ross playing at, stealing from his own aunt?

Well, he shouldn’t really be pinching stuff on his own doorstep, but Ross doesn’t tend to think that far ahead. Him and his brothers are skint, and their taxi business is struggling. He’s already asked Moira to cash in his part of the farm business – which he inherited from his dad James – but she refused. So he sees no other way round it.

We know that Ross has nicked a few cars in his time, but isn’t a bunch of cows a little bit out of his comfort zone?

I think meddling Moira is more of a problem than the cows, to be honest! She’s keeping a close eye on her herd – and she’s armed, too! Being chased with a gun doesn’t bother Ross – it’s an almost daily occurrence for him! But he’s not had much to do with cows before. When we were filming it, they were a bit smelly, to be honest, though working with them wasn’t a problem.

But things don’t go to plan! Ross is hiding when Charity finds him – then Moira hears a noise and fires her gun!

I can’t say what happens with Moira – but in typical Charity style, she works out what Ross is up to and wants a cut of the profits! The two of them work brilliantly together. While Ross does the heavy stuff, she creates diversions. He likes having a tough woman by his side – as long as he remains boss!

Still, Ross faces a dilemma as he tries to get away without being caught…

Yeah, Sarah is also out in the fields looking for Debbie, and twists her ankle falling over. Ross is torn when he sees her, because he’s desperate to get out of there and not be found. He does have a softer side, but we’ll have to wait and see if he does the right thing.

Ross and Pete later rope in Leyla to help with the next stage of the plan – but surely Moira won’t let that little trio get away with it?

Oh, Ross isn’t scared of Auntie Moira – no way! She might think that she’s tough, but she’s no match for him. Ross knows that potentially getting caught comes with the territory, but he’s got no fear. If he does come unstuck, he’ll hate it – but he’ll still do his best to wheel and deal his way out of the situation!
