Cain & Harriet caught in the act!

IS SOMEBODY WATCHING THEM?

- Laura Heffernan

Cain and Harriet struggle to contain their sizzling chemistry this week, as they share a passionate kiss in full view of another villager inside the church!

The fling between devout vicar Harriet and rugged criminal Cain has heated right up since the mismatched pair slept together, and Harriet is looking forward to a repeat performance as they get ready for a night away.

To her dismay, she finds herself being held up thanks to pesky Emma buzzing round the church. However, when Cain arrives to check up on his lover, he finds a way to get rid of the distraction and ensure he has hot-under-the-dogcollar Harriet all to himself…

“Cain can’t possibly turn down an opportunity to wind up Emma,” chuckles our Dales mole. “He locks her inside the church cupboard, and she’s not happy! It’s just like watching a naughty schoolboy get one over on his teacher. I’m sure Cain would have been more than happy to leave Emma there while he and Harriet scarpered, but being the upstanding person that she is, Harriet decides to release her.”

In spite of herself, Harriet is thoroughly entertained by her beau’s prank – and although it may be a risky move in public, she lets Cain move in for a cheeky snog. However, while the vestry would usually be a safe place for a private moment, Cain and Harriet are so caught up in their kiss that neither of them bother to close the curtains – leaving prying eyes free to clock their saucy tryst! We know that Emma is in the building’s vicinity, so could she have come back to bother Harriet some more?

The sexual tension between Cain and Harriet was surprising enough to the parties involved, so their relationship is sure to set tongues wagging throughout the village if and when it becomes public knowledge. A passionate love affair between the vicar and the local bad boy would certainly be music to gossipy Brenda’s ears!

This fumble in the church isn’t the first time Harriet and Cain have been blasé about keeping their secret. Debbie is already perplexed by

her dad’s sudden interest in Harriet’s affairs – but would the two of them be strong enough to withstand the judgement of their fellow villagers? “Someone as morally skewed as Cain isn’t the sort of fella you’d expect a vicar to take up with,” reckons our snoop. “Harriet had better hope that he doesn’t taint her reputation within the Church! As for Cain, I think he should be more worried about how Moira would react – as well as the stick he’d get from people like his on-off ex Charity.

“It’s still early days, though,” continues our spy. “If their feelings run deep enough, I’m sure neither of them would care what anybody thinks…”
