Tracy on the run with Amy
ROB THOUGHT HE COULD START A NEW LIFE WITH HIS TRUE LOVE TRACY – BUT HE DIDN’T RECKON ON HER STRONG-MINDED DAUGHTER…
This week, a small cottage in the Peak District becomes the setting for major twists and turns in Corrie’s most blockbuster storyline.
It’s where escaped prisoner Rob has holed up with his love-struck ex, Tracy, and her oblivious daughter Amy. And as the tension builds in this tiny house in the middle of nowhere, just how long can this troubled trio stay hidden from the authorities – or Amy’s worried family back home?
“Tracy seems outwardly strong, but she’s in a complete state,” reveals our Street spy. “She wants to follow her heart and be with Rob – however, she has a much more serious worry right now. She has become convinced that it was Amy who attacked Ken, and that she might be arrested at any minute. Of course, Amy doesn’t realise this, and is furious at being dragged off to the countryside – even worse, without her phone! Rob is also seeing red, because he has to stay hidden from Amy so that she doesn’t end up wrecking his own escape plan.”
Meanwhile, back in Weatherfield, Tracy and Amy’s absence is soon noticed. Adam has been released from police custody for the attack on Ken, having pointed the finger squarely at Tracy. At first, Ken’s having none of it, till Amy’s dad Steve highlights how suddenly Tracy and Amy left to go on holiday. Later, when Amy fails to show up for school, and Steve realises his daughter’s passport is missing, he and Ken fear the worst…
“It’s a crazy situation!” laughs our source. “Ken and Steve and the police now think Tracy is the attacker, while Tracy thinks that it’s Amy – and yet it may well be neither! It could even have been Rob, who was hiding in Ken’s house that night – giving him another reason to want to escape!”
Naturally, Rob is keen to flee the country as soon as possible, and is fuming that Tracy has dragged Amy to the cottage hideout with them. Rob meets up with a dodgy mate who advises him to ditch the girls as soon as possible. This becomes even more of a priority when he spots pictures

of Amy and Tracy on TV news – after they’ve been reported missing by Steve!
“The wonderful detail is that Amy is unaware of all this drama unfolding around her,” shares our sneak. “She’s just a fed-up teenager being dragged on a boring holiday by her mum! That’s why she sneaks off to a phone box and calls Steve – who, of course, wants to know where on earth she is.”
Exactly what Amy says to her dad becomes of vital importance when she returns to the cottage and finds her mum in a clinch with Rob! Has Amy inadvertently revealed Rob’s location to the cops? And what will the killer do to keep his secrets?
