Woody might be pulling more than just pints at the Queen Vic this week, if the sparks between him and Whitney are anything to go by!
It’s a difficult week for Whitney, and when Woody proves to be her knight in shining armour, she realises that he’s a good guy after all. But will they act on their chemistry?
“After the breakdown of Whitney’s marriage to Lee, Woody could be just the fella she needs to put a spring back in her step,” reckons our Square snitch. “He’s fun, friendly and good-looking – and not the sort of guy who’d add anything too serious or complicated to her life right now.
“Having said that, Whitney isn’t looking to have her heart “Whitney has a lot on her mind – but Woody is easy to talk to” broken again, either,” adds our mole. “There’s still so much we don’t know about Woody.”
Whitney’s week takes a wrong turn after she receives a visit from one of Lee’s old Army pals, Moose, who only seems to show up when his cowardly mate wants him to deliver bad news to Whitney. The last time Moose was in town, it was to collect Lee’s belongings after he ditched her for a new job in Dover. So what new hell does the soldier come to unleash this time?
As Whitney reels from her conversation with Moose, Woody is planning a birthday party for Mick and Linda’s son, Ollie, who is with his mum in Watford. However, when Linda is unable to join them for the celebrations, distracted Whitney offers to collect Ollie and bring him home for the day. Woody invites himself along for the ride – which allows the pair to grow closer.
“Whitney has a lot on her mind, but she finds Woody easy to talk to,” says our spy. “She ends up telling him a few things, and he’s very supportive.”
Viewers will have to wait to find out whether Whitney starts seeing Woody in a new light following their heart-to-heart. But given that her father-in-law Mick – with whom Whitney shared an illicit kiss a few months ago – is due home any day now, the stage could be set for fireworks if she’s taken a shine to Woody.
Is Whitney’s love life in for another dramatic upheaval? And if Woody likes her, is a more permanent move to Albert Square something he’d think about down the line?
