Adam and Victoria prove that they are keen to adopt a child this week, by visiting an adoption agency.
But with guilty Adam still twitchy about his secret snog with Vanessa, his mum Moira calls him out on his shiftiness. Forcing him to admit he’s been unfaithful, she insists he either tell Victoria everything or draw a line under it. However, when Emma overhears Moira and Vanessa discussing Adam’s indiscretion, will the cat be out of the bag? Adam Thomas, who plays him, admits his alter ego is under big pressure…
How does Adam feel about telling Victoria the truth?
He’s definitely in a dilemma! Adam knows he’s been stupid, but he was acting in the heat of the moment with Vanessa. He thinks there’s no point in upsetting Victoria over a small kiss that meant nothing.
If it meant nothing, isn’t it better for him to come clean with Victoria?
He knows honesty is the best policy, but he loves Victoria and doesn’t want to hurt her. He knows Vanessa will keep quiet, and that Moira won’t tell Victoria either – so he reckons the secret is pretty safe…
Before kissing Vanessa, Adam claimed he didn’t want to adopt – is he committed to the idea now?
Adam’s really keen to make sure he and Victoria have a baby somehow, and adoption feels like a great way forward. He’s gutted he and Victoria are struggling to conceive – he thinks they’d be great parents, and he wants to be a dad.
When Adam and Victoria visit the adoption agency, Adam admits he has a criminal record – might this ruin their chances?
Well, Adam just has to hope for the best. He’s a decent guy, though sometimes he doesn’t think before he speaks. When he realises admitting his criminal record might not have been the best idea, he kicks himself.
Meanwhile, Moira has given him her deceased husband John’s watch – but Adam realises he’s lost it.
The watch means a lot to him, so when he loses it, of course he’s upset. He’s telling Moira it’s gone missing when Emma gets involved, claiming it’s divine retribution! Adam isn’t in the best place, so he loses it with Emma. Ross wades in to defend her – and punches Adam.
Adam doesn’t know Emma later overhears Moira and Vanessa discussing the kiss – so if she tells Victoria, will their marriage be over?
Adam and Victoria are a strong couple who are just having a tough time. I hope they can get through this, and I feel they can – but you never know what will be thrown at them next!
