She does a right good northern accent on the cobbles – but when it comes to learning her husband Sylvain’s native language, Samia Longchambon (Maria) has revealed that she finds it difficult. Discussing the culture barrier between them, she said: “I’m learning bits of French. Sylvain’s family don’t speak English, so I have to speak as much French as I can.”
Yet Samia revealed that their one-yearold son, Yves, is already better than her – having started to copy Sylvain’s voice. “Oh it’s really cute – he’s got a sweet French accent when he speaks,” gushed the star.
