As soon as you can, thanks) begins with the intensely emotional story of Peter Gunn, who was put up for adoption at nine months old and reunited with his birth mother Daphne decades later. One year on from their big moment, Daphne experienced a major health scare – and Peter reveals how that prompted him and his adoptive mother Miriam to make a huge decision.

Also featured in tonight’s programme are Jade Hartley, who meets her half-brother and grandmother for the first time after reconnecting with her dad, plus reunited mother and son Gillian and Mark celebrating his 50th birthday together.
