Ash wants custody of his niece Luc…

Ash makes a massive decision about his future this week, as he announces to girlfriend Kat that he’s applying for custody of his baby niece, Luc.

Ever since Billie died, her husband VJ has cared for Luc – but since VJ isn’t the biological father, Ash reckons he has more claim over his niece than VJ’S family does.

With Luc’s biological grandma Irene in the mix as well, relations between the baby’s extended family are at an all-time low – and when Irene hands Luc over to Ash for the day, he’s alarmed to realise that his niece has a temperature. Irene dismisses it as nothing to worry about, but Ash is keen for an expert opinion from Tori. And it turns out he’s right to be worried!

After Tori diagnoses Luc with dehydration and puts her on a drip, Ash is furious that Irene didn’t take her to the hospital sooner – in his mind, it’s yet more proof that his niece is not being cared for properly. But how will Kat react when Ash tells her that he wants them to start looking after Luc full time?
