Dedicated Lauren proves that she’s willing to put in the extra hours at her office this week – but it’s more than just her ambition working overtime, as the sexual chemistry she shares with Josh continues to sizzle!
However, as Steven grows increasingly agitated and obsessive over how much time his girlfriend is spending at Weyland & Co, how long can it be before Lauren’s complex situation ends up exploding?
“This has disaster written all over it,” reckons our Walford insider. “Josh is clearly a man who knows what he wants, and he hasn’t been shy about making Lauren aware of how he feels. She is smitten with him, too, but her loyalty to Steven and the life they have with baby Louie is just too important to ignore.
“Meanwhile, we know Steven’s mind is quite dark and disturbed,” continues our spy. “While it’s reasonable to assume that Josh is a guy who can take care of himself, you don’t want to mess with a fella who once tried to smother his own grandmother!”
Indeed, had it been up to Steven, dearly departed Pat Butcher would have been taken before her time. In his defence, though, Steven hasn’t shown any murderous tendencies in a while! But as his paranoia about Lauren’s new job sets in, uneasy
Lauren would rather head for
the hills. Feeling stifled, she is happy to spend an evening away from Steven when
Josh invites her to attend an important client event with him. But when Lauren accidentally walks in on her boss as he’s getting dressed at the office, the sexual tension between them is off the scale. Will the pair give in to temptation?
“The company arranges for Lauren to wear a pretty
dress to the party, so Josh is knocked for six by how gorgeous she looks,” reveals our informant. “Lauren is pretty embarrassed when she stumbles in on him changing, but it’s not long before she’s sidling over to Josh and offering to help fasten his cufflinks.
She can’t help herself!”
Back in Albert Square, Abi fuels Steven’s anxieties when she places more doubts in his mind about why Lauren might be staying behind at the office. Meanwhile, Josh and Lauren continue to grow closer
– and later that evening, Steven spots his love rival dropping her home.
As the volatile fella realises that Lauren has been enjoying Josh’s company for the whole evening she’s been working, what will be his next move to ensure she stays on a tight leash? And more to the point, how long can Lauren push her attraction to Josh to the back of her mind before she gives way and acts on it?
