Robert confesses all to Aaron…
BUT HOW WILL AARON REACT TO HIS INFIDELITY?
Aaron is absolutely heartbroken this week, after his partner Robert fesses up that he cheated on him with Rebecca!
To add insult to injury, poor Aaron was languishing in jail and enduring one of the toughest times of his life when Robert shacked up with his ex. So what will be his reaction as Robert comes clean about his antics and begs his man for forgiveness?
“Robert realises that it’s time to own up to what he’s done,” explains Ryan Hawley, who plays the guilty husband. “If he cares so much about Aaron, he should be honest with him and tell him what happened. Then the decision is with
Aaron as to whether he wants to be with him. Robert needs to face the consequences.”
Of course, it doesn’t help that Robert is being blackmailed by Ross – who’s threatening to tell Aaron everything unless Robert hands over a substantial amount of money! With that hanging over his head, it’s no wonder Robert decides he needs to get in first and tell Aaron the truth before he hears it from someone else.
So, as the couple return to the village after a few weeks away and spend their first night in a new home together, Robert bites the bullet and admits all about his sordid night with Rebecca…
“There’s a moment between them where they are being intimate, and it all just comes tumbling out,” sighs Ryan. “Robert is emotional and says, ‘I need to tell you something’, and there’s quite a long row between them. Robert tries to justify why he did it – he’s hoping for some kind of understanding from Aaron.”
Normally we’d expect Aaron to fly off the handle at being dealt such a crushing blow – but star Danny Miller, who plays the ex-con, reckons his
character did some growing up behind bars.
“Aaron has already clocked how distant Robert is being, so he can tell there’s something wrong,” reveals the actor. “When Robert decides to admit it, there’s a moment of, ‘I know what’s coming here’ from Aaron, who has already worked himself up to this.
His typical reaction would be to lash out at Robert or hurt himself in some way, but it’s actually a very different outcome from that.”
Robron fans will no doubt be devastated if this indiscretion spells the end of the popular romance. But Danny tells us that there’s more for Aaron to consider than just his own feelings on the matter.
“What Robert has done is going to have an impact on
Liv, their home and their new little family life,” shares the star. “So Aaron is thinking of that – he’s trying to be that family person, a more mature, grown-up person who says, ‘Okay, let’s sit down and talk about it’. But by no means is he okay with it.”
So, can Aaron find it in his heart to forgive his partner for what he’s done? Or will this be the final nail in the coffin for the Dales’ most turbulent relationship?
