Is Emily surprised by the vitriol aimed at Rebecca since she got between Robron?

“Well, yes and no,” she says. “I knew it would be an issue, but I was still quite surprised by just how angry people were.

It’s really intense. I can understand that fans are upset – but some are very angry.

“When Rebecca and Robert slept together, there was a whole thing online about how, because Robert was drunk, he had no fault in all of this. People were saying, ‘How dare she?’ and saying Rebecca should have left.

“But Ryan Hawley [Robert] and I were very careful on the day of filming to make it seem like a progression. Rebecca wasn’t just turning up to sleep with him – it was more the case that it was what he was saying that made it happen. Some fans put Rebecca at fault, whereas I think Robert is just as much to blame as she is!”
