Secret lovers Maria and Aidan are destined to incur the wrath of Leanne Battersby – as our sneak pics indicate that she’ll discover their illicit affair!
The trio – played by Corrie stars Samia Longchambon, Shayne Ward and Jane Danson – were recently spotted filming scenes where Maria and Aidan are caught leaving a hotel by Leanne. Star Catherine Tyldesley, who plays Aidan’s girlfriend Eva, was also present for the shoot – so will this be the moment that she discovers his infidelity at last?
“If Leanne works out the truth, she’ll almost certainly tell Eva,” reckons our Corrie spy. “There is no way that she’ll be able to stand by while Maria and Aidan make a mug of her sister.”
Ironically, the cheating pair look as though they’re putting an end to their fling during a furious argument. The shameless knicker boss has been having his cake and eating it with Eva and Maria, but perhaps his frustrated mistress will finally decide that he’s not worth her time or trouble… “Maria has always known what she’s getting into with Aidan, but it’s only a matter of time before she grows impatient again,” explains our source. “He’s forever promising to leave Eva, but fails to do so – Maria could decide that enough is enough.” Actress Samia, who plays Maria, recently told us that there would be lots of twists and turns before the big reveal – and right now, it looks as if a classic Corrie catfight could be on the horizon…
