In a recent interview with Metro.co.uk, the soap’s head honcho revealed his plans for an explosive summer that will ripple well into the autumn – and take us right up to Christmas…
LINDA VS MICK & WHITNEY!
It’s sure to be the moment that we’ve all been waiting for when Linda returns to Walford, and discovers that cheating husband Mick has been locking lips with Whitney! Will it spell the end for the Carter marriage?
“Whitney has some huge episodes coming up – including a showdown with Mick and Linda, which will be a Carter three-hander,” explains Sean. “All the emotions of the past three months will come crashing on to the Square. It’s going to be fantastic.”
PHIL VS THE MITCHELLS!
Phil and his new liver have been resting up in Italy for some time, but he’ll soon be home to more drama…
“Phil returns in a moment of crisis for the Mitchells,” shares Sean. “However, he’s a changed man from the exhausted lion that left Walford, and his days of being a hard man are coming to an end. Phil knows that he has a second chance now, and it’s given him food for thought. Can he right the wrongs of the past?”
MAX VS ALBERT SQUARE!
Max’s plan to destroy Walford’s community will continue to be a real slow-burner, but the pay-off is set to be huge…
“The revenge he’s planning is of epic nature,” reveals Sean. “But the reason Max is self-harming is because the vengeance he’s plotting is hurting him profoundly. His story will be at the heart of the show for quite a while, and there will be months of anticipation and suspense.”
