Taking the biscuit

COUNT ARTHUR STRONG | BBC1 8.30PM

After yet another disastrous audition, Arthur’s really starting to feel like nothing ever goes his way – that is, until Eggy turns up at the café with the wonderful news that there are people down the street giving away free biscuits. Thrilled at the prospect of maybe getting enough free biscuits to open a small shop, Arthur heads straight over – and doesn’t seem to quite get the implications when it turns out to be a Scientology centre, and he has to take a personality test to get his biscuits.

Despite not exactly being the easy prey that the recruiter was hoping for, Arthur is quickly won over by the “Seismologists”, as he calls them – especially when he begins to suspect that their influence has turned his fortunes around…
