Todd & Billy attend Drew’s funeral
Emotions run high for would-be parents Todd and Billy this week – as they witness Summer’s grief at Drew’s funeral.
Having come around to the idea of parenting the little girl, Todd is now pushing Billy to ignore the vile threats from Drew’s homophobic parents and be strong for Summer. It’s not easy, since Drew’s mother Geraldine has been particularly spiteful in her hatred against them for being gay. But Todd won’t allow her to disrespect Drew’s final wishes and airbrush them out of the picture…
“Don’t get in the way of Todd!” warns Bruno Langley, who plays him. “It’s not a good idea for Geraldine to tell him that he can’t see Summer, because that just makes him want to do so more – and Todd usually gets what he wants. But that’s just part of it as Todd has actually met Summer now, and he is aware that she’s a special kid. He has come full circle where Summer is concerned.”
